    Once And For All

    The Bite

And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. Hebrews 9:27-28 (NLT)

In the old testament, there was animal sacrifice to cleanse sin. However, when Christ offered himself to God, he would cleanse us once and for all. Christ died to us free and we don’t have to bring a sacrifice. We just to bring ourselves. The Scriptures states in Romans 12:1  present your body as holy, and pleasing sacrifice. (paraphrase)

In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness. Hebrews 9:22

    The Digest

In the old system, without purification and shedding of blood; there was no forgiveness.

There would have to be an animal sacrifice year and year. Jesus appeared to God on our behalf, He died once and for all to remove through his death.

Each person is destined to die and then we will receive our final judgment.  Our bite states the He died once and for all to take away the sins of many people. He is coming again soon, not to deal with sin; but to bring salvation to those waiting for Him.

1 Peter 1:17 And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time here as “temporary residents.”

God has no favorites and he is going to judge or reward your life according to what you do. Live in fear of Him during this temporary time.

Philippians 3:20 But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.

    1 Peter 2:24

    He personally carried our sins

in his body on the cross

so that we can be dead to sin

and live for what is right.

    By his wounds

       you are healed.

    The Chew

We need blood to live. It has to pump throughout the body to stay alive. Sister, we also needed the blood of Jesus to spill that we might live. His blood is necessary for your life. He did it once and for all your sins. His blood represents life. You need His blood to live. Have you realized the blood was spilled to cleanse your life? Your life is not your own. You have been bought at a very high price. He did it so you can be healed, to do what is right. He doesn’t have any favorites. Everyone will be judged. Live right in the temporary home. Our eternal residence is in Heaven where He lives. Are you eagerly waiting?

If you never received Christ by faith, today you can be cleansed with the blood that you may truly live Sister. He did it for you. He wants you to live and be healed of your past and look forward to spending eternity in Heaven.

Lord, I have failed you and my sin has separated me from you. Please forgive me. I need a Savior, you sent Jesus to spill his blood to cleanse me once and for all. Would you come into my life today that I may live, and have eternal life? Direct my life today. In Jesus Name, Amen.

    Who is Like God?

    The Bite

    Micah 7:18-20

Where is another God like you,
who pardons the guilt of the remnant,
overlooking the sins of his special people?
You will not stay angry with your people forever,
because you delight in showing unfailing love.

Once again you will have compassion on us.
You will trample our sins under your feet
and throw them into the depths of the ocean!
You will show us your faithfulness and unfailing love
as you promised to our ancestors Abraham and Jacob long ago.

Sister, who can compare to our God?

He forgives those guilty of our sins.   He overlooks the sin.

    Isaiah 43:25 NLT
“I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake
and will never think of them again.

Jeremiah 50:20 No sin will be found, I will forgive. (paraphrase)

He can’t stay angry at us, because he loves us too much.

    Deuteronomy 7:8

Rather, it was simply that the Lord loves you, and he was keeping the oath he had sworn to your ancestors.

He shows mercy and unfailing love to us and has compassion on us.

He stomps out our wrongdoing (once we come to Him) and throws them to bottom of the sea.

Sister, the sea is over 12,000 feet deep. He is faithful and a promise keeper.

7:12 “If you listen to these regulations and faithfully obey them, the Lord your God will keep his covenant of unfailing love with you, as he promised with an oath to your ancestors.
He told Abraham, all families in the world would be blessed through him.

    The Digest

Sister, what sins in your life,  do you need Him to overlook? He is not angry with you. God loves you and wants you to come to him. He is waiting for you. Bring him your junk (sin) so he can throw it out!

If you will confess to Him, he will forgive you. Will you trust God to keep his promise with you? He will bless you. He is ready to forgive. Listen and obey him today.

If you never received Christ by faith, because of fear that he is angry with you. Sister, He loves you. He is not mad. You can be free today. I invite you, to come into the arms of Jesus. Receive his unfailing love and mercy. Seek his Forgiveness and begin again.

    The Chew

There is no one like God.

    Receive The Inheritance

    The Bite

Titus 3:3-6 New Living Translation (NLT)

3 Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other.

4 But—When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love

5 he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.

6 He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.

    The Digest

Sister, This bite explains who we were before Jesus or if you haven’t accepted Jesus, this who you still are to this day.

Have you experience in the past or still experiencing right now: being foolish, disobedient, misled, slave to lust and pleasures, lived full of evil and envy, and hated others

Sister, You don’t have to deal with that messy life anymore. You can experience a new life with Jesus.

But God!  By his grace and mercy, saved us. He revealed his love and kindness through Jesus.

    Romans 5:5 (NLT)

5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

God saves us not because of anything we have done. Sister, I know it’s hard to believe, but God doesn’t need your help in the saving business. He Saves Alone.

    The Chew

He washes away all your sins. Do you need a washing today, Sister?

He provides us with new birth, and new life through the Holy Spirit. You can have two birthday celebrations, the one where your mother birthed you in the world, and the day you accepted your Father, He saved you, and you received a new spiritual life.

Are you still just celebrating physical birth? Or can you celebrate both days in your life?

John 3:5 New Living Translation (NLT)

5 Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.

Sister, He has been so generous to us. He poured his His Spirit through Jesus. He declares us righteous and gives us confidence that we will inherit eternal life. Have you accepted your inheritance from the Father?

If you are still being foolish, disobedient, being misled by your own sinful desires, I encourage you to accept the inheritance of eternal life and get you a new life to celebrate.

If you would like to receive this inheritance today, you need to respond to Christ, by believing, and receiving.

You can pray a simple prayer:

God, I have been foolish, disobedient, living my own way. thank you that you poured your spirit on me through Jesus. I need you to forgive my sin and come into my life. Thank you for my inheritance of eternal life. In Jesus Name.

    The Gracious Gift

    The Bite

    Ephesians 2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

A couple of the other translations mentioned:

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. (NLT)

Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play a major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing. (Message Translation)

    The Digest

God saved YOU when you believed. It is only by his grace that we even have the option to have eternal life. We didn’t do anything or take any part in this decision. He chooses to give us a gift.

Salvation is not a reward for any of the good you have done or think you have done.

What is grace?  Grace is defined as merciful kindness by which God, exerting his holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, keeps, strengthens and increases them in Christian faith.
Through His merciful kindness towards us, we have the gift of Salvation. If someone brought you a gift, would you stand there and say no?
Sister, Why then would you reject our Loving Father standing in front of you with the only gift in life that has worth?

This lifetime gift comes with a warranty. That warranty is eternal life with Jesus in Heaven. There is no other way to get this gift.  It can not be bought with a price. It’s free.  You actually get a receipt that you get to keep with you at all times, the Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 1:22  He put his seal on us and gives us the Holy Spirit as a guarantee.
If you have ever been to Costco/Sams, on the way out, they check your receipt and proceed to put a check paid mark on it.
When you choose to accept this gift, that he has graciously provided. You have your receipt showing you have been paid for by our Risen Savior.

Have you accepted this free gift from a Gracious God? He loves you and He is standing, waiting with the best gift you can ever receive? Will you tell him: No, thank you, how nice of you? Or will you accept the gift with arms wide open and with excitement as you say: Thank you for saving me! I accept the beautiful gracious gift of life!

If you have not made the decision to accept this gift. I encourage you to accept the best thing in the world and have a forever changed life.
John 4:10  If only you knew the gift God has for you and you would ask. I would give.

Ask Him in your life today to receive what only He has to give.

    The Chew

Accept the Gracious gift. Share the Gracious gift.

    Remove The Veil

    The Bite

    2 Corinthians 3:14
But the people’s minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ.

Minds were hard (thick skin, dull, lost of power to understanding)
Minds could not understand the truth.

The veil is removed only by believing in Christ.

When the veil is removed there is freedom.

Veil – to wear to protect or conceal the face.

Sisters, this makes me think of a wedding. You have your veil on and then its lifted to receive your kiss.

Jesus is the groom who lifts the veil to give you the Freedom kiss. You are longer a slave to sin. You are his Bride.

Jesus states in Acts 26:18 to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.’

    • He wants to open your eyes
    • He can turn your dark into light and release you for the power of Satan to His power.
    • He wants to forgive your sins.
    • He wants you to be in the family of His people.
    • He wants to set you apart in him by faith.

    The Digest

Sister, what are you trying to veil or mask(cover-up) in your life? Have you met the Groom yet? If not, are you ready for that Freedom Kiss?

He is available today. If you have not placed, your faith in Jesus. Today is your day of salvation.

You don’t have to get things in order or get your self together. He wants you right where you are!

Realize that He loves you to the point of death. Realize you are a sinner in need of a Groom Savior.

Respond by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth.
Praying the prayer of confession. It doesn’t have to be a special prayer.

You can pray this simple prayer:
Dear God. I confess I am a sinner. Please forgive me. Thank you for dying for my sins Jesus and for giving me eternal life. I need you to come into my life and remove the veil today. In Jesus Name. Amen
