It was by faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did. Abel’s offering gave evidence that he was a righteous man, and God showed his approval of his gifts. Although Abel is long dead, he still speaks to us by his example of faith. Hebrews 11:4 NLT
- Abel offered God a better sacrifice than his brother Cain.
- God commended Abel as righteous.
- God spoke of Abel’s offerings to Him.
- Abel’s faith still speaks after his death.
We are to offer to God our best gifts (time, money, resources). He will see everything we do. God determines our righteousness. Our offerings to him will receive his approval. Our faith will speak even after we have died.
Sister, what gifts or sacrifice are you offering to God? Are you giving him the best like Abel or giving Him some like Cain?
Realizing that God sees all your giving, how does or will this change the way you give of “your” resources? Can God commend you as righteous? How can he speak of you “right now”?
What changes do you need to make in your life to be found “righteous” by God? You can start by putting your faith in Him.
Hebrews 10:38 And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.”
Will your faith speak to the next generations after my death?
Sister, we need to give God our first fruits. Continue to seek Him daily. Get up and spend time with God before anyone else. He wants all of you not some of you.
Grow in your faith because your faith makes you righteous.
