[00:00:08] reading in a I like to look at the particular bite in a bunch of translations and this one
[00:00:14] stood out to me and it's called The Voice, the more you talk the more likely you will
[00:00:20] cross the line and say the wrong thing but if you are wise you'll speak less and with
[00:00:25] restraint and then in the new living translation the one I used the most for doing bites
[00:00:35] too much talk leads to sin be sensible and keep your mouth shut alright ladies so has got
[00:00:44] ever revealed to you that you talk too much like are you gossiping, bragging whatever
[00:00:53] has he ever been like hey you know what you do on a little too much you said a little
[00:01:00] too much you win over boy I know it after happens with me when I get off the phone so I may
[00:01:09] be on the phone chatting it up with a friend and then you hang up and you sit in there
[00:01:13] like you know what I shouldn't say that so like they say in the Southern about this church
[00:01:20] can I get a witness because this one is real true like when we run our mouth too much
[00:01:30] and we cannot say those words back once they have flowed out of our mouth alright so the
[00:01:36] bite for today is going to be a quick one it's simple talk less be wise and shut our mouth
[00:01:45] basically you can put a hashtag keep your tongue and check but we don't because we are
[00:01:53] sinful creatures and we are going to continue to talk and in James 3 2 it says indeed we all
[00:02:02] make many mistakes for if we could control our tongues we will be perfect and could also
[00:02:10] control ourselves in every way but we know that Jesus was the only one that's perfect
[00:02:16] and we're not perfect so we just have to take his grace and pray over our tongue as we start
[00:02:24] this new year we are only in what day 11 you got a new start to start praying over the
[00:02:34] words that you say out of your mouth so if we could control our tongue that would be nice but
[00:02:38] we can our tongues are literally on fire we go around burning up folks saying things and then this
[00:02:47] is the thing with the same mouth we praise the Lord and James also says that should it shouldn't
[00:02:54] be that way so sister ask you this think of a time where you talk too much or say the wrong
[00:03:00] thing all right so you got that time in your head it's crazy because when you went in that
[00:03:08] conversation you felt the real us going to shut up and our bite says the wise thing to do is
[00:03:14] to shut your mouth so the old saying goes if you don't have anything nice to say don't say
[00:03:21] anything at all that is so true we should be saying things to encourage each other we should be
[00:03:27] thinking before we speak and we also need to be allowing the Holy Spirit to teach us how to
[00:03:32] discern when to talk and when not to talk so this is a prayer in Psalm 391 let's turn this verse
[00:03:43] into a prayer and the verse says I said to myself I will watch what I do and not see and what I
[00:03:51] say I will hold my tongue when the ungodly are around me sister will you pray this verse this year to
[00:03:58] keep a watch over your tongue Lord God allow me to watch what I do and not sin against you in my
[00:04:06] words Father hold my tongue against losing self control allow me to use words that only bring you
[00:04:14] glory in Jesus name that's our right for today I will see you ladies on the next one thanks for
