Red Letters Day 2 Luke 1:39-80

We must look at our wilderness experiences as opportunities for growth in Christ

The Bite: Luke 1:39-80

The Digest

  • We see that what the angel told Zechariah and in his doubt came to pass just as the angel said.

  • We see that John's life was necessary to be the forerunner of Jesus. He was setting the stage for the Savior telling people they needed to repent and we should do the same thing.

  • We need to be warning people of the coming of Jesus by repentance of sins and salvation so that when he comes this time they will be with Him.

  • We also see that before God uses John he takes him in the wilderness to grow him and prepare him for ministry.

Where have you seen your doubt turn into a later promise of God?

How has doubt caused delays in your growth?

Have you ever experienced an wilderness season that set you up for more growth?

The Chew

God fulfilled his promises even when there was doubt. We must repent of our doubt and trust. Help my unbelief, Lord

[00:00:00] Do you believe what God has said?

[00:00:05] Have you believed every word will come true?

[00:00:15] I'm Anisha, the host of this show, Glory Bites.

[00:00:23] Glory Bites is a short podcast that encourages women to taste and see that blessed is she who believed that the Lord will fulfill this promise to her. So do you believe what God has said about your life and that he will fulfill every promise that he has for you? Mary then burst out into this song.

[00:01:40] And in this song, we see that she is his doubt and disbelief, his tongue is now set free after this act of obedience in naming this baby boy, john, and he praises God for fulfilling

[00:03:02] what the angel has said. And all the people him for his mission. And he grew strong in the spirit. In the wilderness seasons of our life, there is opportunity to grow closer to the Lord,

[00:04:21] to focus just on him.

[00:04:24] Don't feel like your wilderness has no purpose, because it does. And we must be doing the same thing now. We need to be warning people of the coming of Jesus by the repentance of their sins and salvation so that they will be ready when the time comes and they will be with him because he tells them repent for the kingdom of God is near. And we are near to the second coming of Christ

[00:05:41] than ever before.

[00:05:43] We also see that God is going to use your time in the word to grow you closer. And as we look at this portion of scripture, we see that God is indeed a

[00:07:02] promise keeper. I hope you were encouraged by today's message. The wilderness season
